Andy Griffith Show Memories : The Pilot Episode
The Andy Griffith Show is one of my favorite shows. It’s probably my favorite live action sitcom. Until today I had never seen the pilot episode. In an episode of “Make Room for Daddy”—a show I had never seen, or heard of, before—the main character gets stopped in a small town by a sheriff named Andy Taylor.
It was really weird. The courthouse looks completely different, Andy’s uniform is a little different, there is no Aunt Bee (Frances Bavier actually plays a completely different character).
